who split himself in two.
The one part never changed at all;
the other grew and grew.
The changeless part was always true,
The growing part was always new,
And I wondered, when the tale was through,
Which part was me, and which was you."
from The God Whispers of Han Qing-jao
in the book [Speaker for the Dead], by Orson Scott Card
every year i look at this verse
and i wonder, wonder,
what has changed
have i changed?
"I once heard of a tale of a man
who split himself in two.
The one part never changed at all;
the other grew and grew.
The changeless part was always true,
The growing part was always new,
And I wondered, when the tale was through,
Which part was me, and which was you."
